If you’re dealing with someone who doesn’t accept feedback well, try this strategy, from Adam Grant.

“I’m giving you these comments because I have very high expectations and am confident you can reach them.”

He says that the message helps people become more receptive to what comes next because it conveys the message that you’re not judging, but coaching, and that you’re here to help.
