Place emphasis at the end

TGIF, let’s keep this short.

Generally speaking, the most powerful place for the word or phrase that gives emphasis is at the end of the sentence, paragraph, or statement.

Which is more impactful?

Humanity has hardly advanced in consciousness since that time, but it has advanced in many other ways.

Or…

Since that time, humanity has advanced in many ways but has hardly advanced in consciousness. 

Leave them with something to think about.
