No end-arounds

In Traction, Gino Wickman makes it clear that leadership teams shouldn’t allow end-around, where one team-mate goes around someone to get what they want. This is especially important with leadership relationships like President & CEO, or between founders.

You can end the end-around with “The Question.”

When a team-mate goes around you, and you find out about it, it’s time to ask the person who the team-mate went around to.

Simply say, “Are you going to tell them not to end around? Or am I? Because one of us needs to.”

Do this as an organization, and within 30 days, the habit will end.
