Humans are born to connect

I’m constantly encouraging Confident Communicator workshop participants to talk to strangers.

Not only is it a safe way to practice your new communication skills, but it’s also enriching and fun.

Why? Because humans are born to connect with one another.

Babies notice facial expressions. Children react to emotions on their mother’s faces. From the time we learn to speak, we are eager to share what we learned with others.

It’s natural for humans to engage with others in conversation about mutual experiences.

So here’s your weekend challenge: Try to connect with a total stranger.

Let me know how it goes.
