Questions that induce answers

Milan Kundera said, “For the whole of a man’s life among his fellow men is nothing else than a fight to be listened to.”

How often do we ask questions simply to be heard ourselves, to be validated, rather than to hear another’s honest opinion?

“Didn’t you find that unfair?”

“Why did you leave him?”

“Don’t you agree?”

Free communication rests on the acceptance, even pleasure, of both living a life with others, and with our inner life, being emotionally self-sufficient.
