Open and honest
You may ask your team for open and honest communication, but do they know what that means? Here are definitions from Gino Wickman’s Get a Grip you can use.
Open means both open with one another and open-minded.
You could tell them, “When someone else on the team has something to say, you don’t have to agree, but you do have to hear it so we can consider everyone’s perspective.”
Honest means, just say it.
“We can’t deal with an issue unless we get it out of your heads and on the table.”
Have a good weekend.
