Clean your windows

Want to appear more confident? Here’s some advice from the actor Michael Caine.

First, pick one of your listener’s eyes to look at while in conversation. Keeping your gaze steady instead of wandering, you give the impression of someone to be taken more seriously.

Secondly, don't blink. When you keep your eyes open and look intently at the other person, you’re signaling that you’re listening intently. Contrast this to someone who is blinking, blinking, blinking, which signals that you’re trying to block out information from coming in, because you don’t understand or disagree.

Shakespeare said the eyes are windows into the soul.
